Go-Live Readiness Review

4 min read
On this page

In this lesson, you will learn:

  • What’s on the go-live checklist
  • Who decides
  • SNWR’s review

πŸ” Quick look back: Last time: Planning Rollout Waves. You learned how SNWR rolled out in four waves.

1 The Problem: Go-Live Needs a Clear Yes

Everything looks ready. But nobody has formally said ‘go’. Without that:

  • Responsibility is unclear if something goes wrong.
  • Teams aren’t sure if they should be on standby.

🎯 The problem: Go-live needs a clear yes from the sponsor.

πŸ‘‰ The fix: Run a readiness review with a checklist and ask Anita to decide.

Checklist cards.
Figure 1. The Clear View go-live checklist.

2 The checklist

  • UAT signed and defects closed.
  • Changes approved.
  • Exclusions confirmed in production.
  • MID Servers, credentials and paths ready.
  • Service Desk and monitoring told.
  • Emergency stop ready.

3 The decision

Show each item with evidence. The sponsor decides go or no-go. Record the decision.

4 Project Clear View: How We Implemented It

πŸ“ Situation: Week 10 had arrived.

🧭 Decision: Review the checklist with Anita, Hana and Farah.

πŸ› οΈ Steps we took:

  1. Walked through each item with evidence.
  2. Farah confirmed exclusions and monitoring.
  3. Showed the emergency stop steps.
  4. Anita said go.

βœ… What we verified:

  • Every item was green.
  • Anita’s decision is recorded.

πŸ“ Evidence: The signed go-live checklist.

5 Quick recap

  • Go-live needs a checklist with evidence.
  • Include tests, changes, exclusions, production setup, communication and emergency stop.
  • The sponsor decides.
  • Record the decision.

6 Check yourself

Think of your answer first. Then tap to check.

1 Who decides go or no-go? Show answer

The sponsor, Anita Rao.

2 Name three checklist items. Show answer

Any three of: UAT signed, changes approved, exclusions confirmed, production ready, people told, emergency stop ready.

3 Why tell security monitoring? Show answer

So production scans aren’t mistaken for an attack.

Nice work! Clear View has a go. πŸŽ‰
