Discovery Dashboards and KPIs
On this page
In this lesson, you will learn:
- Which KPIs show Discovery health
- How to build the dashboard
- SNWR’s dashboard
π Quick look back: Last time: Writing the Operations Runbook. You learned how the SNWR Discovery runbook was written.
1 The Problem: Nobody Can See at a Glance If Discovery Works
Hana’s team checks many records each morning. Anita asks: ‘Is Discovery healthy?’ Nobody can answer in one look.
- The facts are spread across many lists.
π The fix: Build one dashboard with a few key numbers.

2 Choosing KPIs
- Few: 5 to 7 numbers.
- Tied to acceptance criteria.
- Shown by site.
- Each with a target.
π‘ Good to know: Need a refresher? See Fundamentals βΊ Platform Analytics βΊ Building Dashboards for dashboard basics.
3 Using it
The dashboard is the first thing Hana’s team opens each morning. Red numbers point to the runbook.
4 Project Clear View: How We Implemented It
π Situation: Anita wanted a one-look answer.
π§ Decision: Build SNWR Discovery Health with five KPIs.
π οΈ Steps we took:
- Picked five KPIs from the acceptance criteria.
- Built reports for each, split by site.
- Put them on one dashboard.
- Shared it with Hana’s team and Anita.
β What we verified:
- Anita can see health in one look.
- Hana’s team opens it daily.
π Evidence: SNWR Discovery Health dashboard.
